Challenge
This vacation package marketer needed to find a new way to entertain and educate thousands of travel agents--their primary customer base--through TNT's annual, touring fall travel shows. During the after-dinner program, TNT needed to inform the agents about the latest vacation destination offers in a way that would be memorable. And do so in a way that was different from their competitors' travel shows.
Solution
Who Wants To Be A Travelaire, a high-quality game show production, was featured after dinner at each event (in New England and Pennsylvania), with Rick Cram as the host and the agents as the contestants. The questions and answers, as well as other aspects of the program were based on TNT's services. The game show was formatted with two teams playing at a time, with a combination of trivia and Millionaire-style questions. Live commercial breaks in each game show provided more information about new, key services.
Result
Scores of agents were the stars in the main entertainment, and the information TNT needed to communicate was done in an impactful way. After each and every show, TNT received praise from their key constituency that these were the best travel shows they had attended.
